COST BREAKDOWN

At Mitiguy Aviation, we believe in transparent pricing with no hidden fees. Our goal is to make your flight training experience straightforward and easy to understand.

Instructor Rate: $75 per hour
This rate applies to all instructor time when the aircraft engine is not running, including:

  • Preflight and post-flight briefings

  • Ground instruction sessions

Aircraft Rental: $200 per hour
This rate applies to all aircraft use when the aircraft engine is running, including:

  • Dual instruction flights

  • Solo training flights

Flight Instruction (Aircraft + Instructor): $275 per hour

When you’re flying, you’re paying for both the instructor and the aircraft:
($200 aircraft + $75 instructor)

Typical Lesson

Each training session typically lasts 2 hours total, consisting of:

  • 1.5 hours flight time (aircraft + instructor @ $275/hr)

  • 0.5 hours ground time (instructor only @ $75/hr)

The Mitiguy Aviation Professional Pilot Program is a complete training pathway designed to take you from zero flight experience to Certified Flight Instructor; the first major step toward a professional pilot career.

Our program combines expert instruction, modern aircraft, and flexible scheduling to help you reach your goals efficiently, affordably, and safely.

Program Overview

Our “Zero to Hero” Career Pathway Program is designed to get a student from zero time to Certified Flight Instructor in approximately 12 months or less. This program is also available to current pilots who want to continue their training and earn advanced ratings at an accelerated pace.

Unlike many accelerated programs, we do not require full-time attendance. We understand students may need to balance jobs or school, so we offer highly flexible scheduling that allows you to progress at your own pace while maintaining consistency in training.

Career Pathway Includes:

  • Private Pilot Certificate (PPL)

  • Instrument Rating (IR)

  • Commercial Pilot Certificate (CPL)

  • Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)

  • Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFII)

  • Time Building

Training Structure

The program is designed for efficiency and flexibility. You can train:

  • Full-time and complete the program in less than 12 months, or

  • Part-time while maintaining your current job or school schedule.

Students progress through each FAA certification stage in a structured sequence:

  1. Private Pilot (PPL) – Learn the fundamentals of flight.

  2. Instrument Rating (IR) – Master flying in diverse weather conditions.

  3. Commercial Pilot (CPL) – Develop the skills to fly professionally.

  4. Certified Flight Instructor (CFI/CFII) – Begin teaching and building flight hours.

After Graduation

Once you complete the Professional Pilot Program and earn your CFI certificate, you’ll have the opportunity to instruct with Mitiguy Aviation, gaining valuable flight time while earning income. You can then build toward your 1,500 flight hours required for an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate and continue your path toward the airlines.
